Turn a quiz into a video
Turn a quiz into a short video that asks each question, counts down, and reveals the answer with a one-line explanation. Post it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, or play it on the class screen as a warm-up.

Before you start
- A quiz with multiple choice, true/false or fill-in-the-blank questions. Matching, ordering and short-answer questions are left out of videos, because they cannot be answered in a few seconds.
- No quiz yet? The free AI Quiz Video Maker (Free tools → AI Quiz Video Maker) writes one from a topic and opens the same editor.
- 1
Open the video editor
Open the quiz and choose Download / Export → Video (Reels, TikTok). A preview starts playing straight away with the quiz's own questions. Everything you change on the right updates the preview; nothing is saved to the quiz, so you cannot break it from here.
- 2
Pick a template
Chalkboard circles the right answer in chalk; Clean card puts each question on a white card with a timer bar. Both are free. Exam sheet fills an answer bubble in pencil and ticks it in red, Game show uses coloured answer tiles and a pie countdown, and Bold shorts uses huge outlined text made for the TikTok feed. Those three are Pro.
You can try any template in the preview. Only downloading a Pro template asks for Pro.

Choose the format
Vertical 9:16 is for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, Square 1:1 for the Instagram and Facebook feed, and Wide 16:9 for YouTube, slides or a projector. In vertical videos the questions stay clear of the buttons and captions those apps draw over the edges.

Set the timing
Time to answer (3–15 seconds) is how long the countdown runs. Answer on screen (2–6 seconds) is how long the right answer stays up. With Show the explanation on, a one-sentence reason follows each answer; it stays up longer for longer explanations.
Five questions with a five-second timer and explanations run a little over a minute.
Five seconds suits a short multiple-choice question. Give fill-in-the-blank and harder questions eight to ten.

Change the background
Keep the template's own background, or pick one of the gradients, any colour, or a photo of your own. When text sits straight on the background, light colours are darkened a little so the words stay readable, and photos get a Darken slider.
Turn on A different background for each question to give each question its own. Click a question to jump the preview to it, or use Give each question a colour to fill them all at once. Photos and per-question backgrounds are Pro.
- 6
Pick a font
Classroom is the site's own font. Modern, Playful, Classic and Handwritten change every word in the video. Modern and Playful also include Hindi (Devanagari), and a Hindi quiz starts on Modern automatically.
- 7
Write the opening and closing cards
Open Opening and closing to change the first and last cards. The opening title starts as the quiz title; putting the topic there tells viewers what they are about to be tested on. The closing card invites people to comment their score.
- 8
Add your branding
Upload a logo (a transparent PNG looks best) and choose a Main colour and an Answer colour, the colour the right answer lights up in. Branding is Pro. Your logo and any photos stay on your device: the video is drawn in your browser and never uploaded.
- 9
Download and post
Choose Download video. Your browser renders the MP4, usually in a few seconds, and saves it. Keep the tab open until it finishes. Free videos are 720p with a small "Made with aiquizmaker.co" line; Pro videos are 1080p with no watermark.
If you used a Pro option on a free plan, the button says so and offers Switch to free options, which puts back a free template and removes the Pro-only choices.
The video is silent, so you can add music inside TikTok, Instagram or YouTube when you post, or talk over it in class.
Check the answers before you post
A posted video is public and hard to take back. Watch the preview through once. If a question needs fixing, close the video editor, edit the question in the quiz, and make the video again: the editor always uses the quiz as it is now.
Common questions
Is making videos free?
Yes, on every plan. Free videos are 720p with a small watermark and use the Chalkboard and Clean card templates. Pro adds 1080p without a watermark, three more templates, your logo and colours, photo backgrounds and a background per question.
Why are some of my questions missing from the video?
Matching, ordering and short-answer questions can't be answered in a few seconds, so they are left out. The editor says how many were skipped, just above the download button.
Can I change the wording of a question in the video editor?
No, the video always uses the quiz's own questions. Edit the question in the quiz, then open the video editor again.
The download is a WebM file, not MP4. Why?
Your browser can't encode MP4 video, so it recorded WebM instead. Use a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari to get an MP4, which every social app accepts.
It took as long as the video to download. Is that normal?
Only in browsers without fast video encoding, which have to play the video through in real time. Recent Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox make it in a few seconds.
