Export to Kahoot, Quizizz and your LMS
Your class already plays Kahoot on Fridays, or your school runs everything through Canvas. Write the questions once here, then take them wherever they need to go — 19 formats, on every plan including free.

Before you start
- A finished quiz. Exports use whatever is in the editor now, including your edits and the order you set.
- 1
Open Download / Export
Open the quiz and choose Download / Export at the top. The formats are grouped by where they go: game platforms, learning management systems, and plain documents.

Game platforms
Kahoot, Wayground (Quizizz), Quizlet, Blooket, Gimkit and Socrative each get a file shaped the way that platform expects. You download it, then import it there.
These platforms cap how long a question or answer can be, so very long questions may be trimmed on import. Quick, punchy questions travel best.
Multiple choice and true/false travel everywhere. Matching, ordering and short answer don't exist on some game platforms, so they may be dropped on import.

Your LMS
For Canvas, export QTI 1.2 (Canvas .zip), the zipped package Canvas imports; other systems that read QTI 1.2 packages can try the same file. For Brightspace, use CSV → BrightSpace, which follows Brightspace’s question template. Moodle has its own Moodle XML and GIFT options, and Aiken is the simple plain-text format many systems accept. There is also a Respondus export.
For Google Forms, download the Form Builder CSV and import it with the Form Builder add-on. There is no one-click path into Forms; most teachers find sharing the quiz link to Google Classroom easier, since it is graded automatically and needs no student accounts.

Paper and documents
PDF comes in three shapes: questions only, answers only, or the full quiz with the key — useful for a cover lesson or a supply teacher. There is also Word, plus CSV and JSON if you want the raw data.
Print the questions-only PDF for the class and keep the answer key on your desk.
Exported copies stop being connected
Once a quiz is in Kahoot or your LMS, it's a separate copy there. Edits you make here don't follow it, and results from there don't come back. If you want the answer breakdown and reteach, share the quiz link instead of exporting.
Common questions
Are exports a paid feature?
No. Every export format works on the free plan.
Which format should I pick for my LMS?
Moodle XML or GIFT for Moodle, the QTI .zip for Canvas (upload it as it is under Import Course Content → QTI .zip file) and the BrightSpace CSV for Brightspace. The Canvas and Moodle page has step-by-step imports. If an import fails, Aiken is the plainest format for single-answer multiple choice. Files exported before 20 October 2026 in QTI, GIFT, BrightSpace, Respondus, Socrative, Blooket or Gimkit format should be exported again.
Why did some questions change on import?
Each platform supports its own question types and length limits. When a question type doesn't fit a format (for example short answer in Kahoot or Aiken), the export leaves it out and tells you how many questions were skipped and why, so you can change them or use another format.
Can I export to Google Forms directly?
Not directly. Export the CSV for the Form Builder add-on, which builds the form from it. Sharing the quiz link to Google Classroom avoids the step entirely.
