How the answer check works

AI makes mistakes in every subject: a calculation slip, a wrong date, a term that sounds right but isn't. So after a quiz is generated, a second AI solves every question again without seeing the answer key. When the two disagree, the editor tells you which questions to look at.

    Wait a few seconds after generating

    When the editor opens you may see Double-checking the answers with a second AI. It usually takes under a minute and runs on its own; you can read and edit the quiz meanwhile. It runs for quizzes made from a topic, text, a PDF, a photo or a link, in every subject.

    Look at anything marked “Check this answer”

    A banner at the top says how many answers need a look, and Show me jumps to the first. On the question itself you will see the answer marked correct now, the answer the second check got, and its working.

    Then choose:

    • Fix the answer opens the editor so you can mark the right option and save. The warning disappears as soon as the answer changes.
    • The answer is right dismisses the warning when the original answer was correct.

    The second check can be wrong too. Its working is shown so you can see where the two disagree: often a bracket, a sign or a rounding step.

    Read the rest anyway

    When nothing is flagged you will see Answers double-checked by a second AI. Nothing left to review. That means the two agreed, not that the quiz is guaranteed correct. Two models can make the same mistake, and only confident disagreements are flagged, so ambiguous questions pass quietly. A quick read before sharing is still the best habit.

Fixing a key after students have answered

Changing an answer does not re-grade attempts that are already finished. If students took the quiz before you fixed a key, tell them, rather than changing the number quietly.

Common questions

Is it only for maths?

No. It checks every multiple-choice, true/false, short-answer and fill-in-the-blank question in any subject. Matching and ordering questions are not checked yet.

Does it cost a generation?

No. The check is included with the generation that made the quiz.

Why don't I see it on an older quiz?

The check runs once, right after a quiz is generated. Quizzes made before October 2026, and questions you write yourself, are not checked.
