What Is a Text-to-Quiz Generator?
A text-to-quiz generator converts any written content — articles, notes, textbook chapters — into interactive quiz questions using AI. Paste or type your text, and the tool extracts key concepts to create MCQs, true/false, and short answer questions automatically. Students and teachers use it to turn study materials into practice assessments instantly.
The AI reads your text and identifies the most important facts, concepts, and relationships worth testing. It then generates a balanced mix of question types tailored to the content, complete with correct answers and explanations. Whether you are preparing for an exam, creating a classroom quiz, or building training materials, the text-to-quiz approach ensures your assessments are directly aligned with the source material.
What makes a passage worth turning into questions
The questions can only be as good as the passage they come from, because the model is told to use nothing but what you paste. That is the point — it is what stops it inventing facts your class never met — but it means a thin passage produces thin questions. A paragraph that asserts three facts can support three recall questions and nothing more. A passage that explains why something happens, or walks through a process in order, can support questions about cause, sequence and application, which is where a quiz starts being worth sitting.
Self-contained matters as much as long. Text lifted out of a textbook often refers to a figure, a previous chapter or a worked example that did not come with it, and the questions inherit those gaps: you get a question about 'the diagram above' when there is no diagram. Read what you pasted as though you had never seen the chapter. If a sentence only makes sense with something else on the page, either paste that too or cut the sentence. Strip running headers, page numbers and navigation while you are there.
Everything here runs without an account, three a day, and nothing is saved to our servers. If you want more control over the shape of the questions — how many options each carries, which Bloom level they sit at, and a note on which wrong answer will tempt your class — the MCQ generator takes the same pasted text and gives you those controls, along with a printable answer key.
