What the video maker does

  • Questions written for video

Stems of 20 words or fewer and options of a few words, so nothing is too long to read before the timer runs out.

  • Countdown, reveal, explanation

Each question shows a 3 to 15 second timer, reveals the right answer, then explains it in one sentence. Explanations can be switched off.

  • Five templates

Chalkboard and Clean card are free. Exam sheet, Game show and Bold shorts come with Pro, and you can try them in the preview first.

  • Every social format

Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, square 1:1 for the Instagram and Facebook feed, wide 16:9 for YouTube and projectors.

  • Backgrounds and fonts

Gradients or any colour for the whole video, photos and a different background per question with Pro, and five fonts, two of which cover Hindi.

  • Rendered in your browser

The MP4 is made on your device. Your logo and background photos are never uploaded, and there is no queue to wait in.

What is an AI quiz video maker?

An AI quiz video maker turns a topic or your notes into a short video that asks questions, counts down, and reveals the answers. This one writes the questions with AI, lets you choose how the video looks, and then renders an MP4 in your browser that you can post to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, or play on a classroom screen.

It is not the same thing as a video quiz, where questions are added on top of an existing YouTube clip. If that is what you are after, the YouTube to Quiz generator writes a quiz about a video. This page does the opposite: it makes a video out of a quiz.

Every question in the video comes from the AI, written for this format. You choose the topic, the question types and how many there are; the maker never pulls questions from a public bank, and it never adds music or voice-over, so there is nothing in the file you do not have the right to post.

How a quiz video is paced

Each question appears, and a timer runs for the time you set, from 3 to 15 seconds. Five seconds suits a short multiple-choice question; give fill-in-the-blank and harder questions eight or ten. Then the answer is revealed: the right option is circled, highlighted or stamped depending on the template, and the wrong ones fade. The answer stays on screen for 2 to 6 seconds, and if explanations are on, a one-sentence reason follows. That is the part viewers learn from, and it is why a quiz video can double as revision rather than just trivia.

A five-question video with explanations runs a little over a minute; switch explanations off and it is about fifty seconds. The video opens with a title card, with your quiz title and a line such as "5 questions. How many can you get?", and closes with one that invites people to comment their score. You can rewrite both.

Which template to use

Chalkboard is a green board in a wooden frame, with the right answer circled by hand in yellow chalk. It reads as a classroom straight away. Clean card puts each question on a white card over your colour, with a timer bar; it is the calmest option and suits tutors and training teams. Both are free.

The Pro templates are louder. Exam sheet looks like a ruled answer paper: the chosen bubble fills in pencil and a red-pen tick lands next to it, which is made for test preparation and coaching centres. Game show gives each answer its own coloured tile and a pie countdown, good on a projector. Bold shorts uses huge outlined text on a bright gradient, a timer bar that shakes in the last three seconds and a stamped tick, built for a feed where a frame has to read at a glance.

Formats and where each one goes

Vertical 9:16 is the format for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Those apps put buttons down the right edge and captions along the bottom, so the maker keeps every question and answer inside the area they leave clear. Square 1:1 suits a post in the Instagram or Facebook feed. Wide 16:9 is for a normal YouTube video, a presentation, or a classroom projector, where the answers sit in two columns.

What is free, and what Pro adds

Without an account you can make 3 videos a day of up to 5 questions each, with the Chalkboard and Clean card templates, any format, gradient or colour backgrounds and all five fonts. Free videos are 720p and carry a small "Made with aiquizmaker.co" line at the bottom. A free account saves the questions to your library, where you can edit them, make sets of up to 10, share the quiz with a class and export it to other platforms.

Pro ($10 a month) removes the watermark, exports in 1080p, unlocks the Exam sheet, Game show and Bold shorts templates, and adds your logo, your colours, photo backgrounds and a different background for each question. You can try every Pro option in the preview before deciding; only the download asks for it.

Tips for a quiz video people watch to the end

Start with the easiest question: the AI is asked to write the set from easier to harder, because a viewer who gets the first one right tends to stay for the second. Keep sets short: five questions is plenty for Shorts and Reels. Put the topic in the opening title, so the first frame tells people what they are about to be tested on. Most creators add music inside TikTok or Instagram when they post; the video is silent so you are free to choose. And if the video is for your own class, turn explanations on: the reason behind an answer is what students remember.

Questions written by AI can occasionally be wrong. Watch the preview before you post, and if a question needs fixing, save the quiz to a free account, edit the question in the quiz editor, and make the video again from there.

Questions about making quiz videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Yes. Without an account you can make 3 videos a day of up to 5 questions, in 720p with a small watermark. Pro removes the watermark and adds 1080p, three more templates, and your own logo, colours and backgrounds.

Type a topic, choose the Vertical 9:16 format, pick a template and download the MP4. Upload it in the TikTok app like any other video and add music there if you want some.

Paste your notes and every question will be written from them. To change the wording of a question, save the quiz to a free account, edit it in the quiz editor, then make the video from the Export menu.

Multiple choice, true or false, and fill in the blank. Matching, ordering and long written answers do not work in a few seconds of video, so they are left out.

No. The video is silent, so you can add a track inside TikTok, Instagram or YouTube when you post, or talk over it in class.

It depends on your settings. Five questions with a five-second timer and explanations run a little over a minute; without explanations, about fifty seconds.

No. The video is drawn and encoded in your browser, so images you add stay on your device. The topic or notes you type are sent to the AI model that writes the questions.

Yes. Type the topic or paste notes in that language and the questions follow it. For Hindi, the Modern and Playful fonts include Devanagari.
